no, your bulbs are much higher quality then anything you can buy at your local autoparts store. plus, the MB halogens already have a white "light" to them. unless you want dimmer lights and the look of fake-hid.

The H7 bulbs in Mercedes cars are just regular Osram or Philips bulbs, same as you can buy anywhere. there is nothing special about them. I am using Philips VisionPlus bulbs. They are 40% brighter, but the same color.

when you get fake-hid bulbs for a halogen lense, they will not function as well as regular h7 bulbs. he is interested in it for the color output. kinda like how the ricers put blue bulbs in their cars.
Tinted bulbs will not produce as much light as a regular H7. Also the eye does not see as well in the higher color temperatures as it does with the color temperature of the regular halogen lights. That is why I like the Philips VisionPlus; more light at the best color temperature.
Go to www..com. I bought a pair of h7 bulbs from them and its really nice. They have a bluish tint. It look like a xenon to me. It cost $80. They have the bulbs in purple and blue. Good luck. []
