Ultra Low Sulfer Diesel available in a few border towns:

PEMEX.com |  Frequently Asked Questions

I took mine on a family trip to Nogales, AZ (on the border with Nogales, SON) and thought about taking advantage of the $2.50 diesel on the other side, but thought better of it...Glad I did, the Diesel #2 would have damaged the engine and emmissions. Interestingly, I saw two other '08 BLUETECs on the AZ side, hope they know better!

Glad you did not do it, I did...

So we used to run up and down the west coast in motor yachts and one time in Mexico the owner filled up with that cheap diesel.

We didn't even make it to the California boarder before all four 2 generators (Onan) and 2 main (MBm) engines died! Thousands of dollars damage resulted, that stuff is NASTY. Even after replacing all the injectors and flushing systems, we went through 35 fuel filters in 2 weeks.

Lesson Learned.

I think I burned close to 200 gallons of Mexican diesel in my motorhome mounted Detroit.
No problems. At least not technical ones, since the station attendants not zeroing the pump is common issue there.
