On my 2013 S550 this morning I was listening to the radio with accessory power turned on and I also adjusted the power seat a few times and all of a sudden the car went dead after about 20 minutes. The car would not start so I jump started it, drove it for about 20 minutes and it seems to start ok now.

1) Does anyone know what the problem might be?
2) Are replacing the batteries in these cars a DIY job or is it a dealership job? I've always changed my own batteries in the past but not on a Mercedes.

Changing the battery is a diy job. There's only one main battery under the hood and an accessory battery in the driver's dashboard. Take your battery to a parts store and get it load tested before you buy a new one!

AAA just came out and tested the battery under the hood and said its good. Dealership said the car should not of died to the point of not being able to start it just because I had the radio on and adjusted the power seat a few times. Dealer said the battery must be weak. But AAA says its fine. What do you make of it, Ive done this before and its never died in the past.

My 2010 S550 has a current draw that won't let it sleep, so battery is dead in a day if I don't drive it. Has been that way for a couple of months. Maybe you have a similar situation.

I think my problem is in the airmatic suspension .

I think you may be right about it being airmatic suspension related as I read it can cause a dead battery. A week after my dead battery I'm now having issue of car leaning about an inch from tires on right side of car and got a Malfunction warning with up arrow car in dash.

As for Battery:
I got a new battery from the dealership for $240, advisor tells me that the AAA batteries are not made as well and I should expect 5-6 years out of the new one. I noticed the date on top of the AAA battery was only 2 years old so apparently it may have died as a result of the airmatic issue Im having now.
