if i accelarate hard, basically if i floor it, the red light comes on, anyone know why? if i take my foot off the gas it goes off, and never goes on during daily driving, just when u start the car
battery light usually comes on when your alternator dies. Also, maybe one of the battery cables are loose and the battery tray is not secured, so it drops current when it shifts around?
I would check out your voltage regulator on the back of the Alt. first. A lot of the time that's what has failed on these units. The screws can be a Pain sometimes so hit it w/ some penitrating lubricant first (I find PB blaster works best..).
If it's Really worn out (brushes should be about over a 1/2 long when new) get the Bosch unit, the KAE's are just cheap stop gap fixes IMHO.
