My Battery Indicator (a picture of a battery) came on this weekend on my 08' ML320. I had not driven it in 7 days. I've gone longer without driving it in the past and when it was cold so this was a little odd. I assumed it would go away, but after driving 2 hours (1 hour each way) the light continues to stay on. I now have all functions available (Nav, Radio, fans, heated seats, etc.), although there is a chance that the fans were not running for the first 5-10 minutes after starting it up. Although it could have been warming up too. All other functions were running since I started it.
I'll take it into the dealer but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas first. If I go in "blind" I'm sure I'll have a fair size repair bill. It's seems like it wasn't sitting long enough and the battery is too new for a low battery problem to develop. I would think this is a warranty item, but maybe not.
I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on it. Thanks.
