I went to turn my car on after work and all 3 of these malfunctions popped up in my dash. Drove home, about 10 miles, thinking about how much this was going to cost me to get fixed. Shut the car off and started it again, just to check, and the malfunctions disappeared. Could it have just been a sticky sensor? Was that a sign that I need to get the brakes checked or perhaps something is coming?

Just came back from a 700 mile Thanksgiving trip To/from LA and it ran perfect.

It's a sign of a failing brake switch, a $20 part at the dealer, don't get sucked in by no name knock off parts on the internet for this part. There is a DIY "sticky" at the top of the forum, a 20 min DIY job the first time thru.

You don't want the brake light switch to fail all the way - then you will have to manually "unlock" your tranny from park.

When you replace the switch, a good time to check the battery too - sometime low voltage on a abattery going out will trigger all the lights too, one of the few signs of failure there, but with battery failure worst case you have free Roadside Assistance.

Keep the faith !

+1 to what fabbrisd1 said. I had the same lights on. The problem was fixed with the new brake light switch.

Would it be okay to drive for a couple days? I planned on just ordering one from Autohausaz.

Shouldn't be a problem, just understand the "tranny unlock" detent in the small chance it might go all the way in a few days, shouldn't thou, best to throw a paper clip in the glovebox. Should be no worries.

If you are ordering from autohausaz.com, you can add filters and the like to reach the $50 free shipping. Good to have that out of the way for your next service so you know you have the correct Mann filters in the trunk !

What is your idea of "central CA"?
I know warehouse in Oakland that sells the switch over the counter for the same price Autohous does. Less shipping.
