bad shifting trans

I have a 2000 C2230. The trans shifts nice and smooth going up
thru the gears but "clunks" when down shifting. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'll take a stab...

I'm going to go ahead and guess you have a bad Motor Mount on one side. You may be feeling the engine thumping during downshifts.

Other than that, you should do a Tranny reset procedure since you have the Electronic 722.6 box.

Good Luck!

It clunks when downshifting?? Funny, I had that exact problem! My trans had taken to acting like it was complete junk, I mean really bad. I thought I was going to need some major overhaul of the trans......I just fixed it by replacing my front FlexDisc on the drive shaft - mine was bad -- when it goes bad the trans tends to shift prematurely and clunk when you downshift. Check out your driveshaft flexdiscs!
