Newly crowned World Champ Sebastian Vettel says he is looking forward to getting back to business on Friday when he climbs into the cockpit to resume testing with his team Red Bull.
The 23-year-old has been caught up in a whirlwind of media engagements since his fifth victory of the season last Sunday in Abu Dhabi made him the youngest winner of the world drivers' championships.
But Vettel will be back at the scene of his victory on Friday for two days of testing tires.
"You need to stay busy and testing is just like work for me," Vettel told SID, a subsidiary of AFP.
"But it will be great to be back on the same circuit again with all the guys in the team."
After celebrations in Abu Dhabi, Red Bull headquarters in Salzburg and the team's base in Milton Keynes, Vettel has joked he is looking forward to getting back in the cockpit for 'some peace'.
Vettel has been back in the Arabian Gulf since Wednesday and says he is looking forward to some rest over the winter.
There is high demand to see the German race.
Around 3,000 tickets were sold in four hours on Monday morning for the Race of Champions in Dusseldorf on November 27 and 28 when Vettel will join forces with Formula One legend Michael Schumacher.
The pair will race against other senior figures from the world of motorsport including four-time Formula One Champion Alain Prost, Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, rally Champion Sebastien Loeb and former world motorcycle Champion Mick Doohan.
Vettel will be back in Germany on Sunday in his home town of Heppenheim, south of Frankfurt, where his family still lives, to attend a civic reception in his honour and meet fans.
It will be his second return to Heppenheim in five months when he drove his Formula One car through the town last July and later signed countless autographs.
Last Sunday, around 3,000 people partied long into the night to celebrate Vettel's triumph in Abu Dhabi and there is now even debate about building a statue in his honour.
