Hi, searched the forum, didn't find any similar issue. Forgive me if I missed it somewhere.

B200 Turbo 2011 140,000km.

Problem: Left low beam won't turn on. Replaced bulb, no change. Visited two mechanics and they were unable to find wiring schematics easily and offered to charge huge amounts to chase it further. Not the fuse. High beams / signals work. Throwing error: "left low beam". The problem has come and gone a few times where it will work and then suddenly stop working. I also think the back light for the driver side window lights button goes out at same time as low beam. Does anybody have a wiring schematic for this or encountered this specific problem before? Any help appreciated.

Let me know the VIN and I'll get the wiring diagram for you :)
As above - most likely to be SAM.
If you have HID lights with cornering function, there will be dedicated fuses, but not for standard halogen lights.
Check the water drain under the cabin filter - if blocked, then water damage to the SAM is more than possible.

Hi,

A little late, but I'd love that diagram if you are still willing to share. VIN is WDDFH3EB4BJ661435.

Headlight seems to be working fine consistently now but will get a "Turbo not working" and "break wear indicator" code often and neither are correct. I suspect this could still be the SAM messing with electronics? I'd like to check it out but don't know where to start...

Thanks

No worries - here's some info I got from WIS, including Datacard.
The system was kind enough ;) to translate the North American VIN into Mercedes own one, it's WDD2452341J661435 if you ever need it.
Files to follow...

Thanks, I appreciate diagrams. I went into passenger side SAM and unplug / replug everything. No obvious signs of damage. After putting it all back I now have 2 problems: trunk won't unlock, windshield wipers stop at random spots and windshield fluid spray doesn't function. If it's SAM unit itself, what is usually process. Just getting a new one? Another other possibilities?

You really need to get it plugged into a good scanner, ideally STAR, or at least something like iCarsoft MB V2 (or V3), and have the error codes looked at by an experienced MB tech.
Replacing the actual SAM is not complicated, it's making sure it is compatible and coded (if required).
I would also check the relays on SAM, rather than just plug / unplug, and as always - check for water ingress, check the main drain under the pollen (cabin) filter, check the battery compartment floor, etc.

Again, thanks. I live in rural Canada and 500 km from a MB tech. Trying to do what I can but you are probably pointing at the right (and only) solution by bringing it in.

Good advice about complication of SAM unit match up. I won't go ahead and try and buy anything without somebody who knows what they are doing being involved.

Figured out latest issue (trunk / windshield wipers), it was a slightly loose connector at SAM. My dumb mistake. As for weird error codes... that will remain a puzzle.

Thanks for all the help. I printed out schematics in case the light problem comes back. I can at least bring that with me to non-MB mechanic.

Cheers

Changing SAM will require some SCN coding and VIN calibration for it to work.

Seen you are 500km away from MB specialist. If you are handy man, I would recommend you get a passthru device and also dig in the internet and get Xentry/Das software. You will equip yourself with dealer level diagnostic capabilities. My two cents.
