Hi

I found my rear washer was not functioning for some reason. Finally tracked it down to the elbow connector that connects (push fit) on to the pump(?) at the tank. Replaced it and tried again and the pressure blew the connector off again. OK so thats the problem. I looked at the elbow connector and it has a crack log it so it will now not clamp on to the outlet.

Looking at the elbow connector, it is not obvious how (or indeed if!) this connector comes off.

Anyone got a fix for this?

Thanks!

Any way for you to epoxy the connector tube back on or clamp the fitting back in place..?

Add a pic or 2 of the defective piece and "Fill in your profile"..Top left of this screen..

There is a black color Small "U" like clamp that goes over the connection. You plug in the hose in to the "rear wiper", and than you attach a U clamp over it ( it just slides in place)
All of these parts are plastic.
If you are missing this peace the hose will pop off the connection.

Connector

Hi

Its actually the connector at the tank end which is just a push fit. I did a quick fix with 3 cable ties and some epoxy.

For a permanent fix, it is not obvious how the connector is fitted onto the tubing. It looks like some sort of heat shrink tubing about 1cm long which goes over the elbow connector and the end of the tube.

Will investigate further unless someone already knows?

Thanks

Heat shrink or ty-raps and epoxy might work as the metal clamp (above pic) might not come in a small enough size....or maybe you will be able to find a very small stainless hose clamp..Let us know what works for you..
