Hi,

As usual, I checked the stickies and did an advanced search but... couldn't find a solution.

My Aux Fans have been coming on recently for no apparent reason. Normal engine operating temp (82c +/-) no air conditioning on and outside temp in the high 70's. Turning off the interior fan/climate control does not switch them off, only turning off the car and restarting. This only happens when the car if fully warmed up.

It happens sporatically but ideally..... probably shouldn't be happening at all.

Is there a relay I can check and/or clean, replace, etc.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

A 95?
I think that you have the relays in the back of the front fuse box.
Remember that 93-95 do have harness problems...

i would check the fuses, then check the harness to see if the insulation around the wires is cracked and crumbly. that harness can cause everything to go wrong one minute and everything to go right the next minute. that is what happened to me.

Aux Fans

Thanks for the replies, so far.

Harness was replaced not too long ago, maybe 25K miles. I did check the fuse tied to the aux fan circuit and it was OK.

Going to check the area behind the fuse box tomorrow.

I am just looking for the button I push to make all the bad stuff go away.... just kidding.

Any additional ideas would be appreciated.

Regards,

Brian
