Ok... after some searching I figured out how to use the aux input. Very unintuitive. Now I have to deal with interference. Kind of frustrating.
I got a Belkin Bluetooth unit that is plugged into the the cigarette lighter at the back of the center console for power. I ran the aux input from the back of the COMMAND unit under the center console along the passenger side. I used an extension cable to run the aux cable up to inside the storage bin between the seats and then used a Y adapter. The Belkin Bluetooth unit is plugged into one half, and the other is left in the storage bin so I could hook up my iPod. The Belkin microphone is stuck to the front ash tray, and but it also serves as a rudimentary play, pause, forward button for Google Music on my phone. So, I can use the the cars speakers for a great speakerphone sound and now I also can stream music from my phone (my collection, Pandora, etc). Pretty cool if I can a figure out the source of the interference. It's nice to have Bluetooth and not use the FM output of the crappy battery powered thing made by Motorola. I suspect it is the cable feeding power to the cigarette lighter is the source. We'll see.
