Hey everyone...
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with thier windows. I have a 2002 CLK 430 Cab and when I use auto up the two front windows bounce when they reach the top and come back down 3inches. Then the auto up or down doesn't work, the dealer has resynched the windows twice but to no avail..

thanks
dan

This worked on my 2001 CLK but not on my 1999 ML and I had to get a new window module.

Lower the window, and keep pressing the switch, but don't engage the auto up/down, for 5 seconds after the window is down. Then raise the window and do the same when it reaches the closed position. The computer gets reset somehow. The dealer should have been able to get it right.

The same has happened on my 2000 CLK. Sometimes it rectifies itself, however on the past two services, the dealer has reset it. On the most recent occasion, they attempted to charge me £28 + vat for the pleasure. I told them where to go and they dropped the charge. It's a well known fault on the CLK, so it should be fixed under warranty. I believe they should continue to do so out of warranty as it's a flaw.

I had this problem on the drivers side window. After much resyncing with no effect the dealer finally replaced the window drive motor. He may have done something else but that's all he would admit to. Works fine now.
