I have an S 320 Cdi and the auto box seems to change into 5th gear at low speeds and as its in such a high gear struggles on hills. Do you know why this has started happening. Could this be galycol related.

But why dont you try this

Resetting Adaptive Transmission

Turn the Key to the "on" position (the position right before you start your engine)
Press and hold your gas pedal down for like 5 seconds
Turn Key to "off" position (dont remove the key) and then release the gas pedal.
Then wait approximately 2 minutes. Your transmission will readjust/relearn your style after approximately 5 minutes of driving
