What is it that automatically shuts off the cool AC when it is cold outside? Is there an auto thermostat shutoff for cool air in the cabin?

You surely must know of the climate temp setting wheel - so beyond that the A/C itself simply runs full time until the evaporator freeze switch opens. Any air that changes around is a function of the climate system and switchover to different "modes" of climate control.

Yes. I assume now that my climate control is just bad. I have put in a new bosch monovalve and the hot air still flows freely through the dash vents and through the front too, when it is 60 degrees F or cooler outside. When it warms up outside the AC works fine, although the dash vents still blow hot air. I do not want to spend money on it but it seems that the CC is bad. any thoughts?
