I have a 1995 S420 and the ASR will come on under normal driving terrain. The dealer says that the 'Single Throttle Actuator' needs to be replaced, however I have never heard of this piece, nor have it listed in any of my service manuals. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the ASR? Pushing the ASR off button does not work. The ASR malfunction overrides the ASR Off switch, and it is driving me nutz. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Search Google.com, the group section for ASR and
mercedes. Possible causes; Sensors, tire size,
fuse, throttle actuator.

I think that only the damping of engine throttle
is turned off when ASR is off. The braking
on the wheels are still on.

Oy
