On my way to work the ASR red light on the dash panel turned on. Now it turns on every time for a few seconds after I start driving and stays on continuously. Cruise control and suprcharger are not working :(

I did the search and people suggest the following causes:
* brake pedal switch under the dash (can I somehow diagnose if this is the cause?)
* speed sensors/tone rings (where exactly are they?)

I have slightly uneven tires on rear wheels. (Broke the rim and now driving on a loaner wheel) However, I was driving like this for 2+ months and nothing went wrong before. Can this be the cause?

Please help me to diagnose it. Will get the trouble code soon.

Thanks for noticing it! Do you have an idea of how the system detects it? I'm thinking of temporarily clearing it until I get my new rim. Will disconnecting the battery clear it?
