I thought this would be kind of a fun thread. Neat old trucks, some mogs...but should have an artistic edge...

Winter shot.

I wanted the snow to be gone from Montana, we had plenty of it. It came late, but it made up for it.

I wanted MUD.

OK, now we have plenty of Mud, and now I want DUST.

Picky, Picky...

I agree.

I had nothing to do with it, I just happened across it.

Same Truck, minus the weather.

We found a nice camp spot for tonight. It's beautiful out this evening.

Did you do the whole White Rim trail? It got wicked tight towards the end! Literally inches on either side.

Yes. You are jumping me forward to Book Two of the Travl'n Mahhgstra, and 6 months after I haven't even finished Book One!

Wicked tight? The end? Depends on one's perspective. I had about 4-6 inches from outside tire to edge of banking. It was soft, so hard to tell what would have caused it to crumble away. Would have been a total loss to fall in the Colorado at that juncture; very deep, no exit. Meanwhile, I had a couple of inches from overhanging rocks to roof rail and spare tire.....at least I think; I was listening, not watching (no spotter). And it would have been a clamber around the fender to get out and look, anyway. Too old for those kind of antics.

Back to the "end". I came in from Moab, on the Potash Road, and did the whole Rim Road, coming out at the top of the switchbacks above Mineral Bottom. Had lunch, then turned around and reversed the route, hitting alternate campsites (I had 9 nights on my permit), and exited up the Shafer Trail. Full story to follow (sometime). Going back got the closeup of the rock wall here, river a "distant" memory!!!
