I sent the truck / log photo to a buddy of mine in Los
Angeles.
Hi is a professional photographer who owns his own
Stage / Studio. Equipped with a Cyc and a motorized turntable that is flush with the stage floor, he is a specialist- he shoots cars for a living.

Not far from LAX and the port of LA, the manufacturers ship all manner of stuff in for him to shoot…. Secret
Cars, not-yet-released cars, even styling mock-ups to
see how the design works in the flesh.

They will ship in super heavy full-size clay models,
And you could stand next to them and not pick up
on the fakery. With limo tint ( silver sometimes) on the glass
Windows, with all of the trim, lights, wheels and such, they
don’t look anything like a mock up - and they’ll have
A metallic paint color, which is a vinyl wrap….it is
astounding the lengths they go to….

And that is before the computer gets fired up.
He can shoot the new S-something Audi on his stage,
and by the time that image is printed in the dealer’s brochure , that Audi looks all the world like it was shot
zooming across a vacant Golden Gate Bridge at sunset, and it was Shot on stage and only on stage..

The software is amazing and better all of the time…
The motion Blur, etc., and a still photo is a piece of cake
Compared to a motion picture.

He’ll crack the code in two seconds.
He must be really good. There are only like 2 or 3 guys in LA that shoot that kind of car work and they get ALL the jobs.

So many questions on this one:
1) What's the purpose? Off-road mobile communications truck maybe? Laying down the law way off grid?
2) Approach angle severely limited by what looks like a front bumper?
3) Rear antenna (?) mast super exposed just waiting for a tree?
4) How does the side bodywork not buckle when the upper box flexes back and forth off-road?

That ambulance is on a planet with two suns.
Both the right front tire and the left rear are casting shadows under the truck.
Judging by the well-lit left side of the truck, and the shadow being cast by the side mirror, the predominant sun looks to be high and to the right rear. This sun ( studio lights) is not anywhere near where the back-lit sunset is kicking off. Looks like three suns, actually.
Yep you're right, battery powered studio strobes are very portable now. I'll guess 2 1k lights on the right side and one 500 watt light toward the front? Plus the setting sun behind. Nicely done. Someone put some effort into shooting this and they did a nice job.

Is there an actor under that Snowcat?

Is the Unimog beginning a rescue?
Yeah I think that's the same model Snowcat. I know the feeling... the vehicle starts rolling and you think 'sure I can just hop back in and hit the brakes'. I did the same thing once with a 1975 Gremlin and an automated carwash. Too long to type but let's just say it wasn't my finest hour. I'm sure Jeremy feels the same way right about now.
