Hmm, After reading all of the other threads on getting the stupid armrest center console unlocked... i still have no luck.

Ive tried locking/unlocking through the key slot by the center air vent. Ive tried unlocking through the trunk and the doors manually.

Anyone know how to open the center console glove box?
Its stuck... and i cant seem to get it open.
Ive read something about a vacuum?

My eyeglasses compartment works 100%.
But the door compartments, and the center console compartment, and rear storagee compartments are all stuck on lock...
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Not for sure, but doesn't the eye glass compartment work just with the key and not by the vaccum? If none of the other locks work, it sounds like you vaccum has a problem. Either the pump or lines are broken.

You'll need to give it a blow job to unlock

It is located in the back behind the seats between the top controller and the Boss amp. (Under the storage area, in the middle.)
I have jumper seats instead....

Regards,
aam.

I gave you 2 links because I don't know what distributor block you have, so you'll need to locate it and match up with the link I posted.
#38 in both cases is the lock for the center storage bin (between the seats), so follow its line to the distributor and do your blow job at that end.

Check the fuse for the central locking system, could be dirty contact ?
(I think it is #5 fuse in the trunk).

Andy, sometimes you have to press down on the console lid to get pressure off the latch.
Press down and maintain the pressure, then push the release button.
This problem often happens when there is too much stuff in the console.

Are you the same Andy who sold me aftermarket HIDs after Startech in Sacramento?
They were great as were the stick on backup sensors.

Its #6, I already checked and it looked fine... I guess i could try cleaning the contacts though just to be sure...

If its the vaccuum leak.. if it goes out, does it stay out permanently?

Thanks for the tip. But that was the first thing I tried. ;-)
Also, I dont have anything in there... except for a few car receipts and expired papers... It just irritated me that it wasnt working.

And no, sorry I was not. I have only been to Sacramento a few times, and only for social gatherings. Im in north bay, Rohnert Park to be exact. Im glad you got a great pair of HID's though. If you insist I will take some credit though!

I suppose a strong working pump may overcome slight leaks.

If you worry it, may be get a vacuum tester to test things out.
