Are there two types of black leather?

I have a black color that looks purple-ish sometimes but I have seen pics of other cars and the interior looks darker. The reason I need to know is because I am gonna order an armrest but cant tell the color just from the pics.

There is only one "black" for W208s. It's called Anthracite. Give the dealer your VIN and they can tell you the color code...I believe Anthracite is 9BF0, but call them and they can tell you. Post what you find out. Good luck.
