Are AMG styling III wheels (8,5j x 18 Lk 5x112 ET30) compatible with w140 cars????

I would sincerely appreciate somebodu to help me in order to know how to identify compatible wheels for w140 S500Coupe??

For instance, I have been told that all wheels intended for w220 series can also fit on w140 series but I am not sure. Is it true??

I have a good opportunity to by 4 AMG Styling III 8,5jx18 lk 5x112 ET30 and don't know if I can use them in my S500Coupe w140

In fact I have also found another opportunity: AMG wheels for a W220 sedan:
-2 wheels 8,5x18 ET44 Front
-2 wheels 9,5x18 ET46 Rear

Any comments??
I would sincerely appreciate your advice.

Thanks for your answer.
My doubt was due to the fact that in some official AMG pages this wheels appear intended dor w220 and c215 but not for w140 but, curiosly, in some eBay advertisements these wheels are supposed to be "compatible" with w140 (I suppose that some modifications must be required).

By the way, I have seen that the only AMG wheels recommended for w140 cars are "Monoblock" series in 1 piece or 2 pieces version (I include one picture).
My car is a 1993 S500Coupe w140 (in fact, a 500SEC) so, could I have any problem if I try to substitute the original tyres and wheels (235/60 R16) by 255/45 R18 new ones. I say that beacuse you have said that pre94 w140 models are supposedly different and the 18" size (the one I am planning to mount) was used as an standard for w140 coupe cars from 1995 to 1999.

Thanks in advance,

Jordi V

I have the AMG Aero 11 mono blocks fitted and they have 255/45/18 ZR on and I have no problem - someone had previously 'rolled' the wheel arch lip edges to accept 18's.[:)]As the official catalogue states - the wheels you wanted are for 220's and not 140's and as York informed me - they will not fit pre-'94 models[xx(].

Thanks once again for your comments and experience.

By the way, I have also found an opportunity with this other AMG model intended for w220 sedans (see picture). They are 8,5x18 ET44 & (2x) 9,5x18 ET46 HA AMG.
Do you think this wheels could fit on my 1993/94 S500Coupe??

Thanks in advbance,

Jordi V

"model intended for w220 sedans " They are? 44 and 46 offsets are straight up into the W140 zone (ET40 - 50). NO spacers needed. Go for 'em!

They DID[?][B)]Why? I had 18's with 50 series tires and the fenders needed nada. You must have waay t bigger a sidewall.

My 19k's needed no fender well arcing either.

Ack
