Many dealers in the US try to pull the same thing. Most limit it to items directly effect by the modification, but one person was denied his "free" Service A because of HID headlights. We pay more for our cars because we get "free" maintenence for 4 years or 50,000 miles.
By law, the dealer or manufacturer must prove that a modification or non-authorized part caused the problem. However, the question then becomes, who can buy better legal representation, the consumer or the dealer/MBUSA?
