Looked at a 01' CLK430 coupe and couldn't figure out how to adjust the steering wheel. i was able to adjust it in and out, but couldn't make it higher or lower. how do u do it? steering wheel was abit too high, wasn't comfortable driving it like that. thanks in advance

You can't move the wheel up/down. [] I think they added that to the w209 body (late 03-04)

damn it. that just completely turned me off. i can't get comfortable with the wheel so high. i'm used to it being lower. that sucks []

Why don't you raise the seat up so that you can be higher?

The idea with the W208 is that the driver adjusts the seat higher/lower while you can adjust the steering wheel in/out.

yeah i found that out too on my 2002 430clk but after you adjust the seats, its 2nd nature to you and other cars feel incapable of making you feel "right" beind the wheel

Sorry 4 bringing this back from the dead. But my wheel won't lock into position.

What part needs replacing. I don't want to stick a pin in there and fix its position. I want it to work like factory
