Anyone taken European delivery on their Mercedes?

Thinking about a C320 in the spring and we'll be in Europe anyway on vacation. May want to take delivery in Sindelfingen and extend the trip a few weeks. As a C rents for $80-$100 per day, it doesn't seem like a bad deal. The only problem would be the 4-6 week that it will take to get it back home. I was thinking about it on my last car, but it was sort of an impulse purchase.

I have read that the trip is fantastic!! But you do have to plan and book the car months in advance in most cases, so make sure that you talk to a salesperson about this. Check out Curt Rich's site on the Euro delivery. After reading his in-depth coverage, you'll probably want to go right now!! [:)]

Drew, thanks for the info!!!! Great article.
Euro delivery

My sales rep said that MB holds back a few cars for customers who want a Euro delivery ASAP. You will have to be flexible as to colors and options. Also it is sometimes possible to match you up with a car that is scheduled for production but not spoken for.
