....I could find an air compressor for my w108. I'm retrofitting a modern air ride system and would like the functionality of the factory air compressor/powersteering pump.
Thanks in advance, Jason

Junkyard - pull one out of a 109 or 112. Or try TriStar Pete in Tempe AZ.

The car you have is V8 (3.5 or 4.5 ) or is it a six ?
If it is a 3.5 you can use the compressor from a 3.5 300SEL (109 chassis) the compressor fits on the sump.If it is a six,you can "try" and find a compressor/power steer pump from eitrher the W112 300 SE/SEL or the 300 SEL 6.3 .you will need to build a bracket to fit because the oil return from the compressor runs from there to the sump via the cast alloy bracket. On the 3.5 /4.5 set up the compressor is bolted to the sump so all you need to do is swap over the sumps.
These are great compressors and are more than equal to the job you want to do.If you cannot find one, check out any Mercedes or Unimog truck for the air brake compressor.it's the same thing.

I'm going to go with Firestone bags and 1/2 inch lines with solinoids. Using a 10gal. tank.
