Hey guys,

I`m considering selling my wheels on my 300te...

They`re in decent shape, with Michelin Exalto`s on them (80% tread).

Any input would be great!

I know it isn`t the best photo but it`s what I have right now.

They look like very later concave AMG wheels. Without tires, there worth whatever you can get for them - the market is flooded with them. $200-$300? With tires, you're in the $500-$600 range.

Same color as my former 4matic, that may be the best looking brown wagon ever :)

Those wheels are very hard to find in my experience, since I wanted them. They go by rarely, but rarer still in useful shape. As for POS's $200-$300 guess, I would buy the next 12 good rims I saw at that price. (Though POS is vastly more knowledgeable about AMG topics than I)

And Ksing (poster here that moved onto a VW toy) has a very nice set he would sell, but, substantially more than $200-$300, I doubt he would part with them for less than 2x that, $600 or more. Maybe that is why he still has 'em. :)

For your search, and maybe I am wrong, but they appear to me to be:

Aero 1 monoblocks in 16x7.5 and et42 or et37

I am not quite sure about "the maket is flooded with them". To me, at least I have not seen that many for sale lately. Some people prefer 17", the other might be fine with 16". They look really nice.

Flooded?

I'm on the east coast and would love to find a set in 16" for my 91 coupe.
If there are a lot available, where do you look for 'em?

They must be very rare, I have never seen them before. Something in between the older and the newer style. Probably not the real thing...

I think they are valid but rare AMG Aeros. I own the set below, recently refurbed by USA Wheels in Fairfield NJ, but there's a wobble over 75 so re-refurb work is likely needed. When I bought the Carlssons that are now on the wagon, these Aeros became storage bound instead of sorting them out...

I figure if they sit in storage for a few years, mebe I'll get tired of the Carlssons. It may be awhile though. :)

If interested in these, PM me? they are et42 btw and currently have no tires.

Are these the same? Wheels aren't my forte.
Very expensive (and the wrong side of the pond for you lot.) Plus I'd immediately distrust anyone who wrote the description...
Serial no. looks like it's 201 400 07 02. They're et37.

YES! Mine are exactly the same as these...

They're 16 inch. I really like them, but if I was offered the right price... I might be willing to remove them.

These went from rare to 2 sets available within this thread. So POS had it right. :)

I must have been both right and wrong here. On the first version of "disk wheels" from 1987, all information was visible from outside and included they were made in "W GERMANY". The next version from 1993 was more rounded off next to the tire. So this must be a special version made in the time frame from 1990 to 1992 as it is written only "GERMANY" and inside. Probably at the same time the 3.4 engine was introduced. So we have three generations of Aero wheels...

A quick KUDOS to USA Wheels in Fairfield, as I mentioned in this thread, after being refinished, I still had a wobble, we isolated a slight issue on 1 and a larger issue on another.

USA Wheels fixed and refinsihed both - did not promise to do it for free, but, well, I had not driven them for 500 miles, and was back w the issue...6 months later :)

NO CHARGE, and rollin straight w my snow tires now. If not for this thread, the whole set was going in the attic for another time. :)

I have no idea on the value but if you are in California, I may be interested in buying them.
