i might be able to help with a mirror site.

i believe i have the bandwidth and space... i'm on a couple of HUGE packages. and if TDF gathers enough members and thus enough support, i plan to go dedicated server.

i'd love to help.

Just a guess, but Steve Nervig who made his exellent index for the mbusa CD's available for benzworld members might have an idea. Check the W 126 forums DIY thread, his link is in there. Cheerio, Teutone

Grab this utility...

...and transfer the complete manual to your hardrive. Be warned however, it took almost 24 hours for the complete manual to be copied.

Now I can use the manual whether I'm online or not...

in a bad way?
I dont know...but edsoto.com had same disk hosted on his sight for months, then
suddenly announced that he was having to eliminate the MB Informational disk.
both edsoto.com as well as braingears.com hosted only disk 1 of 2.

then, we were informed by forum member that this same disk is sold by MBUSA
for $100. it doesn't take brain surgeon to conclude that hosting it was likely
a copyright issue.

but if people needed specific info about the W210 which is available on the Infor-
mational Disk, I just uploaded that portion of the video for them to use

If you have broadband and Adobe Acrobat, you may be able to take advantage
of the PDF creater which takes a running start of a URL. I sucked up 11k pages
off a lega web site and was able to save it all to CD as a super big gulp, integrally
linked PDF. Acrobat 3.0 and up should have this feature built in.

I was refering to loading the whole manual...both discs with all information for all model years. That way I'm covered should I ever buy a different model Benz.

Click on the link (it worked for me) and the download is in the nav bar to the right. The site is very dark and hard to make out. It will then allow you to select from various sites to downlaod from.

Great tool for deep flashed sites like the repair manual.
