Open the access port.
Twist off the starter and lay it in the housing.
there are two retaining clips holding the bulb in place. Push them towards the front of the car while squeezing them together.
Remove bulb.
The bulbs have notches in them to make sure they are properly alligned; keep this in mind when reversing the process. I have no idea if you have to remove any components to get to the access ports as I have a W210. But I have disassembled two W211 assemblies to get the bi xenon projectors.
