hey, i need to ship out a full front bumper that i recently sold, but the place in my town that ships out via UPS,FedEx, and DHL said the package is too big so they cant do it...They said to try a company like Roadway or somtin but they gave me an estimate of $271 which is too much....i see ppl on ebay putting shipping costs of bumpers for like $100-150 so there has to be another cheaper and effective way of shippin it....anyone know??

thanks

Just have dimensions/weight of your crate and go to the bus depot they'll give you a quote.

That is correct, word to the wise....have the person picking it up to inspect it THERE - AT THE BUS DEPOT - any claim must begin at that point, if they take it home then discover damage...well you can imagine the headaches.

Nope, Greyhound wont deliver :)

Hope this helps. You also may try taking it directly to UPS or FedEx or ABX location, rather than a shipping store, they may be able to help you. But unless you have a friend in the biz to hook you up with a discount, they will charge you thru the nose.

I researched this last week  This is the cheapest way even with 1K insurance

USPS - Global Delivery Services

USPS - Send a Package Globally

USPS Global Express Mail (EMS)
Dimensions: Max.length 60", max. length plus girth 108"

or

AirMail Parcel Post
Dimensions: Max.length 60", max. length plus girth 108"

or

Economy (Surface) Parcel Post
Dimensions: Max.length 60", max. length plus girth 108"

Another option is AMTRAK (railroad), if there is one near you and one near to the person who has to pick it up. I shipped a front bumper via them many years ago.
