Hate to interupt, but wouldn't a 1995 S320 grill fit a 1999 S420? They're both w140s, both the same body, both the same hood shape, it should work.

How can that be? I know these cars have had a face lift, but it never effected the grill ...

How can that be? I know these cars have had a face lift, but it never effected the grill or the hood. Just like on a w126 [ my car ] the hood and grill were left alone during the face lift. I guess I'll have to study some w140 pictures and see what you are talking about.
