I'm not getting any response to my post about electrical connections for the drivers side mirror. I'm wondering if WIS has a wiring diagram for this item and someone could send me or post a copy. It would be most helpful since this is probably a 5 to 10 minute job and I don't want to go to the dealer or a mechanic for such a simple problem.
Many thanks,

I don't have WIS but try pointedthree dot com. One of our members here posted a series of WIS on that site. You may find what you need.

Thanks, but I looked at this site and couldn't find anything related and the forums don't include W210 or E class. Am I missing something?

Yes, you are missing W210...I can see it. Go to forums...there's a list scroll down 'til you find w210.

Thanks (not really) to those of you who suggested *****************. Yes, you were right that they have a 210 E Class forum, but the latest post is 5/6/2012 12:12 AM
by G-AMG. I thought that maybe I was on an earlier page, or I needed to register (which I tried with no success), maybe reloading the page would give me some results BUT NO,this site is asleep at the wheel. I hope that none of their members asks what to do if their car is on fire.

Hello, for a E430 "210070" for wiring of outside mirror they have 210 as of 01/03/97 with code 501b with memory, or as of 01/03/97 except code 501b with code 500b. I think 500b are the folding type. Do you know which type? I don't know if you have used WIS before but I find the wiring hard to understand and usually have to keep going back to the reference for codes and wire color charts. Showing you just the wiring page may not be helpful. But here is the schematic for with folding and memory if I can figure out how to paste to the forum.

Don't be sorry. My mirror are not folding and according to MB Tech service they weren't offered as an option until 2003. You are correct that the wiring diagram might be a bit over my head, I like the ones that are clear and not using all the codes and straight lines which go somewhere but can't be figured out as to what they connect with. Yes, WIS can often be confusing.

This is absolutely great. But I think that I have my homework to do in figuring all this out.
Wouldn't life be so much easier is we took pictures of what we are talking about and just ask what the hell is this wire for. Oddly enough, that's why photography was invented, to give better descriptions of those things in life that drawings and other forms of hand-work just can't explain.
You have my deep appreciation for sharing this with me and the other members who might need to do the same thing that I have to.
