1989 300 SEL I need to get this off to remove shroud to replace tensioner pully assembly. Any tips / tricks would be appreciated. :)

When facing the engine, about 1-2 o'clock there is a small hole in the fan bearing assy. I slip a small pin punch in to lock the assy. down. Then you can loosen the hex (6mm iirc) bolt retaining the fan/clutch assy.

while belt is still on, loose the center bolt. If you have removed the belt already, you would have to follow what p7fan described. Basically, once the center bolt is loose, rest is easy.
