Dos anybody have any experience with this tool: 4 WHEEL DRIVE BALL JOINT PIN REMOVER / INSTALLER tool : eBay Motors (item 260541981057 end time Feb-21-10 09:36:03 PST)

This is to remove front lower ball joints. It looks very similar to the one designed for MB. Will this work or I need a MB tool which is double the price.

Why are you buying it? I thought you were going to buy the complete wishbone with the balljoints already in it.

this is for the part where wheel bearing goes in. Not sure what it is called. see the picture. It is that black metal part. Even if you buy all new parts you have to replace ball joint on that "thing"

Are you removing the lower control arm? Or the track control arm?

Look at this pic, and tell me.

This is for the ball joint that holds inner lower control arm.

I have the correct tool to press out the ball joint and the tool to remove the thrust arm and the spindle from the ball joints. They look like these:

I would be willing to part with them, if you are interested. My ball joints should be good for a few thousand miles.

Hmmm, I may be interested in this tool. I need to replace upper and lower, im squeeking like crazy. I would resell it for whatever I paid for it to another member who wanted to do their ball joints.
