Just freed up my roof operation by lubing the hinges with silicone spray(it used to blow the odd fuse )

I am thinking that silicone would be correct as the bearings seem to be plastic.

Can any one confirm correct lube?

Thanks

I work for a large Dodge Chrysler Jeep dealership in the Houston area and drive an SLK 230 Kompressor. I only use MOPAR white lithium grease (spray) on my retractable top....because it's EXACTLY what MercedesBenz dealers use when servicing an SLK (just a different can and label)!
Lemme explain:
DaimlerBenz passed down the old 98-2004 SLK design to be resurrected as the 2005 Chrysler Crossfire...so the recommended lubricants and many of the fluids are now available at your Friendly Neighborhood MOPAR Parts dealer...at a MUCH more affordable price!

With engine running open roof halfway. You will see most of them in the hinge mechanism for roof from boot...
A couple above windscreen,
A couple more behind plastic panel in rear of boot, remove plastic tab fasteners.
