I did 25 nusolis bought two cause I knee id mess up at least one piece. Good thing cause I meeded two rear windows and then kids peeled piece of rear quarter. Worked well considering. Get tools too. Not rocket surgery. You will have to take door panels off to get good lower edge.

Years ago, I bought a kit that had been laser cut specifically for my wagon. I attempted to apply the RR window, and quickly gave up the whole enterprise within 15 minutes. You clearly need bulk material, which is then cut down to size, and you need patience and proper experience and tools. Absent that, save yourself the aggravation.

Several reasons I let pros do it. And by that I mean the best, not just whoever claims they can tint windows.

1) I am not very patient with things like that.

2) I am butter fingers.

3) I am a perfectionist. If I did it and there were so much as one 1mm bubble in a corner where nobody else would see it, I would remove it and start over.

4) By the time I kept redoing it, it would cost me several thousand dollars and I still wouldn't be happy with it.

5) If the pro screws it up, he gets to redo it!

If you were to see how many screen protectors I have wasted just on my phones and such trying to get them on right, you would understand why I don't do window tint.

For the relatively small amount it costs to have the pros do it, I leave it to them.

I have 30 front and 15 rear. I paid $290 for everything, but that included removal of the old one too, otherwise it would have been about $200.

Its is a pain in the ass to do,but if you have it in roll form way easier to do,I will blow all the dust out of the interior clean all surfaces widows ,no dirt or dust can be in there or it gets under the film! new blades ,lots of them! tint squeegee and a card, don't forget the heat gun and spray bottle with a dash of soap, clean the garage and get the dust outta there!park it in there, have a 4x6 fold out table to work on,then get it done! I look forward to it! what legal in Cali? isn't it 33%?

Trick for the back window is you lay the film intack over the outside, then trace a whole piece with 1" perimeter, spray the glass, spay the tint so it doesn't curl up ,lay it on the window, then squeegee from center out and use the heat gun, that will bend the film to all the curves in the glass, cut the edge and let cool, remove it and install it to the inside, make sure to use the spray bottle alot inside window& film as you separate liner, more squeegee and your done. you have to work fast! if you set up the environment and have it clean ,not that hard to do!

I would like to see it when you're done.

My left arm gets burned and I don't know what is legal in Ca. but I want something that will keep off ALL the UV rays. That shouldn't be illegal.

Most laws say you must have 35% on front and rear doors and rear windshield can be darker. most newer suvs and cars come factory with dark tint on rear

UV and IR

Correct me, but don't all the tints block almost the same amount of of the UV, but different amounts of the Infrared? UV will crack plastic & dry out leather & cause sunburn, and IR is what causes the interior to heat up?

So, if he is only concerned with UV and stopping sunburn on his arm, he can go the lightest tint?

My wagon has 35% and it's the darkest I would personally put on a car. I've never enjoyed driving at night, and the tint can make it difficult to see out the windows.

My E420 was tinted by a prior owner, I'm tempted to remove it Anyone have a good DIY on removing tint. It makes it too hard to see at night.

Avg around here is $150, I'd just as soon let someone else sweat over it for that.
