my amp in my S class just went out. I went back to take a look and there was water underneath the amp and the changer. I pumped all the water out and now my unit turns on but no sound and no recognition of a cd changer. Any recommendations? I was thinking if i pulled it out and let it dry that might work but i dont wanna do anything to make it worse. Please help if you can! Thanks

It may be fried, and would require replacement. You could try some of the shops that advertise on the Web that the fix Mercedes amps.

But first, you should find out where the water came from; usually, either from a leak near the back window, where the trunk lid fits; or through the vent in the electronics area; or from a leak in the wheel well.
