Well i remember saying on the forum i will take photos while rebuilding it. also I bought a Hirschamnn 6000ke rebuild kit for $40 from a local parts store. i mentioned everything except the actual removal of the antenna and installation of the mast also for the disassembly look at the pics it would make sense.

i just posted this because places charge $125 to do this work which takes about 30minutes. i know it might be handy to someone. you can find rebuild kits for $40 and new mast for $20 and those companies that rebuild and throw an aftermarket mast charge $150. and you guys can do all of this for about $75(including rebuild kit, mast, grease, and plastidip) this one was a rebuild for my spare antenna, i did a few for friends and relatives. simple task as matter of fact i was smoking hookah and drinking beer(California is hot this time of year lol) while rebuilding the first one lol here is a pic of the grease, and the cause of the rebuild.

It's not so bend that she dosnt go up or down ,no , it's just slightly bend from over the years , i drive aprox a 1000km's at a normal speed of up & around 110 to 140km/h constant at night only once a year (all up about 2500km's aprox between destination & return to base ),so it must have some sort of impact on the antenna staying up , tomorowe i take a picture i show you .

You should have put a screw to join the two white plastic wheels because the little tab that holds them together tends to break and your automatic antenna will not work if it does. This tends to be a common problem.

i know but this was a new gear from hirschmann. if its broken you could also fix it with a screw. i just don't know which screw to use.

Call Mike at Rhinetrade in Santa Ana. I saw a box of antenna's when I was in their backroom last week.

If Mike dont have ot or cant get it, you dont need it.

I've done the screw trick as well. A good sheet metal screw should work. Be sure to Dremel or nip any extra to keep the profile minimal.
