I have an 85 Sedan w123. Awhile back I bought an antenna grommet from AZautohaus.. it was huge and didn't fit. I'm supposed to install from beneath right?
Are there different sizes out there for the sedan? Did I get the wrong size?

I can't tell if you have got the wrong size from here - my eyes aren't as good as they were!

I can't remember if the W123 version is the same as the W201 but for the W201 I had to fit the rubber seals to the body work first and then fit the antenna

Yes, install from the bottom. I installed one from Autohaus and it went in *hard*... but it went in. The plastic is harder than the more rubbery grommet of the original OEM grommet. I would strongly recommend using SILGLYDE lubricant when installing bushings, grommets and the like. You could lube it with SilGlyde, freeze it for an hour or two and try to get it in. Be prepared to cuss a little... or,
