i'm thinking about purchasing the yokohama s. drive's....seem to perform well in tirerack's tests and comments are mostly positive...
(any input on this tire?)

HOWEVER:

I did notice that they are load-rated 97w, while the e-class only requires a rating of 94 (correct me if i'm wrong)...my question is if there are any negatives connotations to the extra load ratings, i.e. harsher ride?

thanks in advance!

All I can say is my Toyota dealer recommends them highly and calls them "a poor man's Michelin". I'm thinking seriously about a set for my Camry the next time around.

Generally speaking there is nothing wrong with a higher load rating. It may ride a bit harsher but probably not that you would notice. If the reviews are good then that is something about which I wouldn't be concerned.

Yok makes some great tires, so don't let the name scare you off.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

Loot at the Bridgestone Potenza RE950 Pole Positions. Tirerack rated them the best in their category. Just got mine installed. They seem to do well.
