Yesterday I finally got the chance to meet up with "Aspect" over in Monterey. For about four months we've been playing pm tag to arrange a meeting so I could pick up a nice rear euro bumper he had on hand. I had a client with a job in the southern part of the state and he was up for swinging by Monterey on the way back north so I could grab the bumper and we could get some lunch at the airport restaurant. They do have the best chili around but it "ain't" $3.00 when you're not in airline uniform :(

It was great to meet yet another Benzworld member. Again, I meet some nice people here on the forum. Aspect has another project and I look forward to seeing it come up on the forum. He also had a nice looking 117 short block in his truck that I checked out as we drove the bumper over to the airplane. At least it fit inside and we didn't have to strap it to the wings :) Thanks again for taking the time and effort to meet with me. This bumper will go onto the 300sd car, hopefully soon!

Regards,
Gen 1 for an 1983. I notice that the chrome is the same as another euro that I have but the plastic cover is different along the bottom and a differernt color. The new one was "federalized in a stronger manner and lighter than my old one.
