We're all cheap... that's why we go to forums for free advice instead of paying someone else to do the work.

That said, diesel guys are the worse. They won't be happy unless the walk away with the shirt on your back.

Those would probably sell on eBay much faster then on any MB forum.

What do you think they cost 25 years ago when they were new? I don't think that they are not worth it. I think that this may be the wrong audience. I bet they would sell on eBay for close to his asking price.

Don't get me wrong, Im sure there are some who would happily pay up (rich folks).
In my case, I have to consider:
1. Shipping down to where I am located: USD 200 +
2. Tires to go as my 15" wont fit: 500 +
3. Wheel spacers: 100 + I guess?

So, it adds up to: "Can't reasonably explain this purchase to my wife" :D

No spacers needed thaI know of. The ET of 11 for the 16x8 is correct. Not sure but the offset for the 16x9 sounds correct.

A decent set of ATC, AMG 16x8 with a little curb rash and needing refinishing will cost you around $800.00+. $100-$125 for refinish and painting. The 16x9's are even more rare.

This is a decent price for a staggered set and the seller is a valuable member of BW.

Why would you need wheel spacers? They are the correct offset for a 107.

Hey, whaddya mean?

Easy there turbo! We're not the worst!

;););):D:thumbsup:;)
You may not be the worse.... but man whenever I have sold parts to a guy with a diesel, it's became so painful that my attitude now completely changes if someone says "would it fit a xxxD/TD/CD/SD?

It always seems to turn into the opposite version of that market scene in the life of Brian.

How much is it?
$50 / pair
What do they cost new?
About $600 each
Is it perfect?
No, it came of a parts car. If it was perfect it would cost more.
Would you take $20 including shipping?
The shipping costs more then $20.
What did you did you pay for it?

WTF!

Seriously, I had a conversion which was exactly like that.

The fitment issue for Gen II was about clearing the brake calipers, I thought. Spacers will not sort that out, at least not without throwing the offset right out.

Fotografa,

I really don't know enough here. This is where I get lost. :(
My '86 SL has 15" stock aluminum rims and wouldn't know what I'd have to do to make these bad boys fit.

A person my Dad knows has a 300sd. I guess he figured out that if you mix 1 gallon of used motor oil to 1 gallon of gasoline you can call it diesel and burn it.
