Have a C240 elegence sedan.
Was thinking of upgrading the stock 16" to the five split spoke AMG wheels as on the C32.

Questions:
1. Rim sizes 7.5x17 front rims and 8.5x17 rear rims
225/45 ZR 17 front tires and 245/40 zr17 rear tires
will this rub on the wheel wells?
2. Is this too much wheel for the horsepower of the c240? - i.e. overkill for a whimpy motor?
3. Is US $1,200 a good deal for a used set of rims with Michelin Pilots?
4. If the rims and tires were installed on the C240, would it be the same ride height as a C32 or does the C32 have a lower ride height (as I would presume)? i.e. if I didn't adjust the springs and ride height would the AMG wheels look stupid on the car.

Thanks

Dan

Some answers

1. These wheels will fit all 203's without any rubbing are other issues.

2. Probably not.

3. I think the price is a little high.

4. These wheels and tires will not change the height of you car. The C32 uses shorter springs.

I have heard of brand new take-offs selling for $900 to $1000. The price depends on where you live. If they are not brand new, I would hesitate to go more the a grand. On the other hand, the wheels go for over $300 each from the dealer and the tires are over $200 each at the dealer.
