I believe I have found my 1991 560 SEC. By a stroke of luck I have found some 17" AMG Monoblock II in nice shape. Unfortunately the owner says he doesn't know the ET and seems unwilling to expend the effort. He said they were purchased for a 560 SEC but were last used on a w124. I would have to have the wheels shipped. Is there a chance that these would not work at all?

Theres always a chance. I believe you can fit up to ET30 on the SEC's without spacers.

Thanks Trooper6, I love the look of your car!
I am pushing the seller he has at least confirmed for me that they are all 17x7.5. Thank you for the number as I believe many of the 7.5's are ET34 so I will make sure I get the ET and will look up what the stock wheels were too for width and ET. Will post pictures if it all comes together.

I believe for 17 or 16 x 8 AMG mono the 11 offset were probably made for the W126, and are the hardest to find (did they have a 10?).

Correct Mono wheels for the SEC are the Aero I's 17x8 ET11. The Aero II's you are looking at are probably off a C36 - 17x7.5 ET35. These C36 wheels fit W124 class cars perfectly, but probably not the best choice for an SEC.

You should wait and try and find a set of rare ET11 wheels for the SEC. You'll be happy you waited. They come up from time to time. The Aero I wheels were also made with ET28 that were the Hammer W124 wheels. Aero I wheels have a fairly flat face while the Aero II's have a more curved face.

All,

Megadiesel is selling a set of Aero I's right now. I was going to pick them up as a second set but the timing is off financially. Give him a PM.
