LOVE the looks of it. It has been on ebay before.. because I remember the seller from Virginia putting it on ebay before. Appearently MRTIKKET is buddy-buddy with the guy who is selling. The only changes from the other one was was the other one had white face gauges and different wheels.
Beautiful car, but no AMG guages, Recaro - C seats, wide body, fridge. I want those exhaust tips!

looking forward for your arrival of that widebody you said you're getting in the spring. I'd love to see pictures of it... awesome 80's and early 90's cars. Oh.. your sig shows you're looking for an SLC. There's a Euro blue SL or SLC with an AMG body kit, can't remember, on ebay right now.
Bought the SLC. Just don't have it in my signature. What a can of worms. Car is beautiful. Forest green over Cognac, however everything electrical or mechanical needs attention. Car looks like an unfinished jigsaw puzzle right now.
I'm getting a "listing has been removed" ebay mesg. I know that seller too, Kyle is his name. He's got a widebody lined up for a computer-illiterate friend of mine, actually the previous owner of my car and previous owner of the white 560SEC AMG that is on ebay right now. Just waiting for him to get the pictures together and the final price. Its coming from Affalterbach I guess.

That's one great looking SEC!
Absolutely! It's a real beauty. [:p]
New listing for it. VIN wasn't entered correctly last time and had to be re-listed:

Its actually a different car and has not been on ebay before. Same color and mods but completely different car.
Wow I'm really glad to find a site that shows me I'm not alone when I see the beauty of these machines. I recently purchased a 2005 Nissan Altima and while it gets me from A to B I could'nt help thinking about the fact that for the money I'm spending, I should love my car and I don't. My first car was a 1969 230, I was 17 years old and I'll never forget that car. Here I am almsot 20 years later and want to return to a "feel good" vehicle. Anyway to my point, would you guys have any website reccomendations for companies with interior upgrades for these cars, (leather, dash, seats, shifters.. etc)I think I have my mind set on a 560 sec and would like to explore the possibilites of an interior overhaul. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Good luck with all of your vehicles, love the pics.
560 Dreamer,

I don't know if you are looking for something custom, or just a rejuvenation/restoration. Here are some links that can be helpful with a restoration:

Wood:

(has been getting some mixed reviews..)

Carpet/Upholstry/Headliner:
http://www.worlduph.com/

Switches/Gear knobs/Steering wheels/etc. :

Plenty of others of course, just some that I have come across.

Thanks a bunch Alex, I'll check those sites out and that will actually help me determine which direction I'll be taking, though I think I may be leaning towards customizing. This is the first forum I've ever actually joined for anyhing, it's great, Thanks again for the info.
What is the fair value of this car in the current market ?

whatever the car sells for. These are not typical cars, but you don't have an average buyer either.
i think she have a same preparation of engine (240 Kw) of my 500 SEC AMG, but my AMG was made in 1985, this one in 1988.

i think she have a same preparation of engine (240 Kw) of my 500 SEC AMG, but my AMG was made in 1985, this one in 1988.
I am not sure if it is the same... perhaps EuroCoupe can comment on it. I know that stock, the 1986+ Euro 500sec's have more power than pre-1986 500SEC's.
5.0 2v AMG M117- 276hp @ 5750 rpm '81-'91
5.6 2v AMG M117- 320hp @ 5250 rpm '86-'91
6.0 2v AMG M117- 331hp @ 5250 rpm '86-'91

The main reason power went up in '86+ factory 5.0 models was due to the exhaust. The '86 and newer 5.0's got the 2-peice/side (4 pcs total) exhaust manifolds. The 5.0 AMG 2v has the AMG manifolds/headers, but also enlarged inlet and exhaust runners, polished inlet and exhaust valves, and AMG spec cams (50.1). The same goes for 5.6 and 6.0 2v (16v) engines. The ebay car, if prepared by AMG should have 320hp.
Is this car registered in the US, or will the new owner have to shell out about $10k to have it go through all the importing tests and whatnot?
All of Kyle's cars are U.S. registered with no further DOT or EPA requirements needed.
