Ok - here's the new thread I sure as heck have been waiting for - the trip home and the next chapter in this car's life.
After a year of mechanical restoration at Jonathan's shop, the wife unit dropped me off at the shop this afternoon and home I drove! Below are pics 30 minutes after parking - no wash, detail or cosmetic work done.
I spent about 10 hours on the car today - washed it, dried it, removed the front US corners and US tails, removed the trunk emblems, taped off the car with painter's tape to get ready for tomorrow's long paint detail session (clay bar, light cut, wax, buff, interior, etc.).
I also did about half dozen little things - swapped out the passenger side visor with a near new one with a nicely working vanity mirror, put on my McGard wheel lock lugs, changed the exhaust hangers to R107 ones, put on the dual snorkel air cleaner, installed the new headlight wiper blades, installed new door sill lights (three of the four were missing).
I have also posted my Remus FS post. More pics tomorrow.
