I have a line on a respectable mileage, nice condition 1989 AMG 300ce.

I am curious - if all is as described, what kind of range anyone thinks I should consider. Just speculate, please, I accept all responsibility for my final decision. I think he wants $11K firm.

Really, I am bantering between paying $6750 for a bone stock, beautiful, all receipts, 1989 w 65K miles or buying the car described above.

I sure would appreciate some pros and cons.

^Thanks, I respect your opinion from posting history...and considered your cars during my buying review here- but the miles got to me.

Damn I am struggling to decide which way to spend the money. I am a miser more than I am interested in perfomrance, but I know if you drive a car like that, it draws you in.

At the moment, I am leaning towards the conservative choice.

I placed a deposit on the excellent condition 1989 300CE with 64,000 miles. $6750

Just curious how bad anyone thinks this price was...I kept finding carfax issues or other stories with the $5000 300CE versions I was finding.

I felt I should have been able to land one this nice for under $5000 but maybe that is easier said than done.

100% service records, all work done at their local Stealership.

It will cost me a day of my time and about $500 to get it here.

But I'm tall, I wanted a Coupe in my stable.
