So yesterday my wife takes may car to get a few items from the store. I receive a call 15 min later asking where i keep my insurance card:eek:. She says that she is fine and will be home soon:surrender:. She also says that she was driving in the left lane and went to get over to the right lane and out of no where she hits a Toyota Highlander.:eek:. At this point i am expecting the car to be trashed on one side. She pulls in the driveway and all looks good:confused:. Some how the only thing that came in contact with the other car was the pass side mirror leaving a 3' scratch on the other car and some black paint on my mirror. I'm not sure how she did not do more damage, but I'm happy:surrender:. I just buffed the black paint off the mirror and all is fine.

You should know you are driving amazing vehicle by now :D
Our ML320 send one BMW X5 to scrap yard and 3 more cars to body shops, while our son is diving it now with all original sheet metal and only bumper reinforcement replaced.
When my wife stopped in traffic, the X5 driver was distracted ans smacked her hard pushing to 3 other cars. Trailer hitch and brush guard transfered the impact leaving just dents on the hood and rear hitch. Rear bumper flexed breaking some tabs, but I was able to glue it back together and even having replacement for over a year our son doesn't care about replacing it.

Your Wife is ok? I hope she didn't get shaken up.
Thank you for asking, she is fine. She has a history of bumping into things with the cars. She was more upset that she did it again. The worst one was when she started my 1995 Toyota Supra in the driveway and went back in the house to get something, she came back out and the car was rolling down the street backward at about 25 mph. The car hit a Ford F250 and knocked the truck up on the curb. That was the end of my Supra.

I'm glad your wife and car are fine but sorry to hear how you lost your Toyota. Maybe your slight damage was because of the spring that will give a bit in the mirror mount.

There goes the value of your car! CARFAX will be all over this one. Unless she didn't call the police and no insurance claim was filed against her?

Hmmm? No police were called. We did give her our insurance info. I have no idea if she will file a claim. My wife said that her car was brand new. I'm sure she will do something about the scratch on a new vehicle.
