Depends on what was put in there @127. A rebuild from a chain store or even most locals you are probably just getting some brushes, maybe a bearing or two, and some paint. You just "bought" somebody elses problem. Get a REBUILT unit or new. Check the dealer. You might be suprised at the prices of factory rebuilts.....

i had got a rebuilt alt. from middlesex armature in perthamboy N.J. they charged me $90.they also uped the amps to 100 for my sound system and did the spacing for me.i dont have the # off hand but i will look 4 it and get back to you

hey there,

I got a brush and diode pack (1 unit) from the dealer for about 11$ a few years ago. Just swap this into the back of your existing alternator and you'll be good to go for another 100,000.
