Hey

Just a question for the high milers..how often have you had to replace your alternator?
I acquired the car at 72K miles and replaced the alternator at 127K miles and it looks like it went again at 204K miles.

Does this seem about right?

thanks

Depends on what was put in there @127. A rebuild from a chain store or even most locals you are probably just getting some brushes, maybe a bearing or two, and some paint. You just "bought" somebody elses problem. Get a REBUILT unit or new. Check the dealer. You might be suprised at the prices of factory rebuilts.....
