what is your alltime favorite car in the world....no holds barred.

if you could have only one car, regardless of make, model, age, color, creed etc etc [:I], what would you have? alright alright....i'll push the limit to 2...but they have to be completely different beasts in some way or the other.

post a pix if you have one.

my alltime would be the 1971/2 300sel 6.3, and the 600 pullman limo.

I have all time favorite car(s), primarily MBs. They are...
1977 450SEL 6.9

1971 300SEL

1964 300SE Coupe

1995-present Lexus LS400/430 (not too flashy of cars, but nice nevertheless)

Any W126s

Any W123

1995 E300D with the OM606

1993 190E Special Edition

This would be my luxury road warrior
1979 Lincoln TownCar, big, ugly, floaty "Granpaw's car" but people would get out of the way, it's one of those cars that would tear up the other driver's vehicle but stay intact in a fender bender. (MB was light years ahead of everyone else in 79 when the 126 design came out as you can see.)

I think what I would REALLY like is a 1969 250C, there was one featured in The Star recently, and ever since, I've fallen in love with the W114/5.

I agree on the 540K, but i'd have to add the SSK as well.

then comes the beautiful 300SL gullwing.

the LS 430 drives pretty well, but it really does feel like a toyota+cadillac. not a driver's car at all, and the rear seats are not very comfortable.

I know I should be screaming 'Mercedes' here(I do love my W126), but my father had one of these up until the late 70's when I was still a kid.
He was a mechanic for Jaguar and drove a Jaguar420 in british racing green, which in his hands was a beast. His only problem was the amount of money he continually spent getting the rear wire wheels fixed because of all the engine mods.
If I had the money, and even rarer, if I could find one, I'd have to have another.

Gary.

Nice to see there's another Bug fan on this list:)

If interested, I'm brokering a type 54 for a close friend:

Just sold an original Type 57 wheel...even that was beautiful!

Those looks to be Mr. Lipshitz's cars if I'm not mistaken. I've heard some stories about that 59 that are Most amusing!

The w113 280 SL is very special to me – last of the classic Benz roadsters before the bloated 107. The 2.8 L M130 inline six with a single overhead cam made 195 bhp and at just under 3000 lbs. the car was quick and maneuverable. I may realize my dream some day, these cars in very good condition can be had for about $20,000, which is not outlandish.

Here’s a 1970 280 SL:

1991 Mercedes-Benz 560sec 6.0 widebody. AMG handbuilt 6.0 quad cam engine 370hp. 1 of 25 built worldwide with the handmade widebody, using steel of course, not fiberglass. Most amazing car I have ever seen. [:D]
